‘I Am Comfortable Playing Boy-Next-Door Roles’, Says Sathish Krishnan
It goes without saying that film actor and choreographer Sathish Krishnan is a popular face today. He has been a part of several dance shows- ‘Dance Machi Dance’ and ‘Aattam Paatam’ to name a few. The actor was lately seen in a supporting role in director Gautham Menon’s action-romance movie ‘Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada’.
Recently, Sathish, who will be reuniting with Simbu after ‘Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada’ for Adhik Ravichandran’s ‘Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan’ (AAA), revealed, “I will be choreographing a couple of songs”. About acting, Sathish said, “I am comfortable playing boy-next-door roles. If anything interesting comes by, I will take it up”. When asked about having any hero ambitions, he disclosed, “Yes, I do. But then I don't want to do a film just for the heck of it. If anything interesting comes by, I will take it up”. Sathish has been garnered with several accolades for his performance in ‘Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada’. About the same, he states that his association with Gautham “goes back a long way”.
“Gautham writes each role with precision. This one, too, was a small yet important role. Whenever we used to shoot scenes, I somehow never looked at the way how I performed in the monitor. I always saw how Simbu performed. It was only in the theatres that I saw how I fared. I am glad that the audience liked my role”, Sathish added. On a related note, AAA is being bankrolled by S. Michael Rayappan under banner of Global Infotainment. The flick is expected to release in March, next year.
