Grandson of Isari Velan in Prabhu Deva’s Vinothan

Mega star Prabhu Deva is producing a project which features talented actors like Jayam Ravi and Lakshman. Before it could go on the floor, he already made declaration regarding his next project. His next production will star Varun (debutant) in the lead role. Varun is the grandson of yesteryear actor-turned-politician Isari Velan.

The film will be directed by Victor Jayaraj, and it has been revealed that it is based on the life of director. Victor told, “I conducted acting workshops for editor Antony's directional venture, Night Show. That is when I met Varun - I loved his performance and wanted to cast him as the lead in my film. Then I narrated the script to one of Varun's uncles, and that's how we got in touch with Prabhudheva. He loved the concept and immediately agreed to make it”.

Talking about the content of the flick, the director said, “The film is based on a disorder humans suffer from. I have been a victim and have undergone many things in my life due to that - this is the crux of the story. I can't reveal what the disorder is, all I can say is that the film is a psycho-emotional, romantic, dark comedy”. The film is titled Vinothan and its shooting will begin in the month of September.
