Gnanavel Raja: Tollywood Heroes Much Better Than Tamil Stars

Producer Gnanavel Raja, whose last production was Suriya starrer ‘Thaanaa Serndha Koottam’, says there is much to learn from the Telugu film industry. The producer spoke at the promo meet of the Tamil version ‘ Allu Arjun ’s Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India’ as ‘En Peyar Surya En Veedu Indhiya’. Gnanavel Raja praised the Telugu industry lashing out Tamil actors.

The ace producer said, “We have to learn lot of good things from Telugu film industry. Their heroes are much better than Tamil heroes. There’s a healthy atmosphere prevailing there. Tollywood heroes are down to earth and ask for a reasonable salary to match with their market. Those who have a market of Rs 100 crores charge only Rs 15 crores as their remuneration and take Rs 50 lakhs as advance. There’s a great understanding between the actors and producers”.

Gnanavel even said that he will move to the Telugu industry if it does not change in a year. Moreover, the producer is bankrolling several films including Arya’s ‘Ghajinikanth’ and Gautham Karthik’s ‘Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu. Further, produced by Sridhar Lagadapadi, ‘En Peyar Surya En Veedu Indhiya’ is released in Chennai and Tamil Nadu market.
