Kamya Punjabi On Break Up With Karan Patel
Kamya Punjabi has finally returned to her base Mumbai and resumed work on her show Shakti. The TV actress who is has spent the past three months of the lockdown in Delhi with her husband Shalabh Dang has called the phase a blessing in disguise for her as after her marriage in February this the most time the couple has spent together.
Talking about getting married for a second time and her bitter break-up with TV actor Karan Patel the actress spoke about how she is blissfully happy in life at this point. Kamya called her second marriage a tough decision as she is used to living life on her own terms and after her break up with Karan Patel it took her two and a half years to get back to her usual life.
“After the breakup, I had gone under a shell, I was not eating, sleeping. I didn't feel like doing anything. I was into depression. I was undergoing counselling and there were lots of things happening. And now, when I have started living my life, I am not ready to compromise or sacrifice for anyone or for anything. It felt like I was out of jail and I am not ready to go inside it again,” she told Times Of India.
Kamya and Karan broke up in December 2014 after which the actor went on to marry Ankita Bhargava.
The actress now misses her life in Delhi with her husband Shalabh who works in healthcare and is incredibly busy. Kamya says she became ‘a complete housewife’ during the lockdown and they couple made the most of their time together along with their two kids.
Now, that the actress is back in Mumbai and back to work they couple stays in touch via video calls and Kamya says her husband keeps surprising her by sending flowers, cakes and cards from time to time. The Shakti actress also said that she isn’t nervous about getting back on sets as had it all planned out and said that it is the responsibility to all actors to take care of themselves and not rely on producers to do everything.
