Apurva Agnihotri Spills The Beans About His Character On Anupamaa, And No He's Not Playing Rupali Ganguly's Love Interest

Actor Apurva Agnihotri is all set to make his debut in Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa. The show which is ruling the TRPs on television is all set to get some new plot twists with this prominent entry and no the actor is not going to play Anupama’s love interest.

The show will mark Apurva’s return to TV after a three-year gap and he has already begun shooting for his mysterious new role. Talking about the same he told ETimes, “Yes, my character will bring some interesting twists and turns in the life of Anupamaa and the Shah parivaar. I decided to accept this role, because it is different in many ways. My character has a lot of layers. There are many aspects and many shades to his personality which will come out as the show progresses.”

Apurva also commented on his return to TV and added, “When Anupamaa was offered to me, it was too good an opportunity to refuse because obviously Rajan Shahi is one of the top producers in the industry, so there was really no reason to say a no."

The makers are getting creative with the shoot of the show after the alarming rise of Covid-19 cases in the country adversely affected the schedule of Anupamaa. Rupali Ganguly who had earlier tested positive for Covid-19 recently resumed shoot. The remaining members of the show’s cast and crew including producer Rajan Shahi and actor Sudhanshu Pandey  who tested positive are currently recovering.
