Exclusive: Shehzad Deol Says Bigg Boss 14 Can Forget Support From Punjab Viewers After Sara And His Eviction

Bigg Boss 14 kick-started at the beginning of the month and fans were over the moon with joy to finally be introduced to new housemates. But the 14^th season of the reality show is very different from the previous seasons and it almost feels like somebody hit fast forward because two contestants have already been evicted! Punjabi celebrity Sara Gurpal had to leave the house last week and her good friend Shehzad Deol was evicted today. Many viewers feel the evictions were unfair and Shehzad also feels that this will directly affect Punjab viewership. It’s truly a shame because they had just started out and fans had not even had a chance to see them in top form. Netizens were even shipping Shehzad and Sara, who had become really close during the first week.

In an exclusive chat with Desimartini, Shehzad opened up about their friendship and stated, “Sara and I were bonding really well, she was my closest friend in week one.” When asked about any possible love angle, Shehzad replied, “I don’t know about that but yeah I was bonding really well and she was a good friend to me and I was a very good friend to her. I can tell you, by the kind of messages I’m getting, North se Bigg Boss ka kaafi zyaada disconnect hone waala hai since this has happened. First week Sara ko nikaal diya, second week mereko nikaal diya. So North mein, specially Punjab toh ab bhool jaao ki ab aap ko wahan se mil raha hai kuchh in terms of audience.” Would he return to the show if he could as a wild card contestant? “Definitely and just for my audience. That’s it! I want to give my audience a chance to give me more and decide my fate.”

He continued to say that his time in the house was a complete package! It was a complete journey, but very short lived. Remembering his strategies in the game, Shehzad shared that he only wanted to be real and thought of many out of the box, innovative new ways to perform tasks. Take for example the task where contestants had to collect balls in a basket to win their personal belongings back from the BB Mall. While Shehzad lost the competition, he left us in awe with his unique technique of tying the basket with a dumbbell and throwing it in the pool to keep it safe. Even during the immunity task given to the girls, he decided to support his friend Jasmin Bhasin and dropped Nikki Tamboli’s tray full of drinks so that she would be disqualified.
