Will Akshay Kumar Play A Car Dealer From Delhi In Raj Mehta's Upcoming Film Good Newwz? Read The Details

After playing a scientist who led an all-women team on India’s Mars Orbiter Mission, Akshay Kumar is now gearing up for Raj Mehta’s directorial, Good Newwz featuring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani. This upcoming comedy will see Akshay and Kareena uniting on the big screen after almost a decade after Kambakkht Ishq. Good Newwz was initially set to release in the month of September but was later pushed to December.

 In an interview with DNA, Akshay talked about his equation with Kareena.  He said, "Whenever we meet — whether it’s on a film set or an awards night — our equation has remained the same. We are extremely fond of each other. Bebo and Lolo tease me about the amount of money I’m making and I tease them about having a flat in every building in Bandra. That’s our fun banter."

 As per a Mumbai Mirror report, Akshay Kumar will be playing a South Delhi based car dealer and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s husband. In the film, we will see the duo resorting to IVF technique to have a baby post seven years of their marriage. Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani will also play the role of another couple wanting a baby.

A source close to Mumbai Mirror informed the leading daily, "This character is stylish and rich, in a space, Akshay has not explored in the recent past. There is plenty of humor and drama in Kareena and his track."  Diljit and Kiara come from a complete Punjabi background and the former being a die-hard fan of a popular Punjabi rapper. The source further added, “It is a situational comedy revolving around these two couples from different cultural backgrounds and the procedure”.

On the professional front, Akshay is currently in Hyderabad shooting for the climax of Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Sooryavanshi.
