    A few weeks ago a new drug angle emerged in late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death probe after Enforcement Directorate seized his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty’s phone during the money-laundering investigation. Many WhatsApp chats were released in which the actress allegedly spoke about procuring and using drugs. Well according to latest buzz, while searching Rhea’s home, the Narcotics Control Bureau seized her mother Sandhya Chakraborty's phone which was allegedly being used by the actress to make contraband related calls and messages.

    It was also reported that Rhea did not submit this particular phone to the ED when she was asked to submit all her phones. However, according to the latest report shared by TOI, NCB’s deputy director KPS Malhotra has given a statement clarifying that this information is not based on facts of the investigation. He said, “Few journalists are asking that whether Rhea used to make any contraband related calls from her mom’s phone. The same is not verified and not based on any facts of the investigation.”

    Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda and a few others are currently in custody after they were arrested for having links to the drug case in Sushant’s probe. Their bail pleas have been rejected by a magistrate court and a special court. It was reported that they will now approach the Bombay High Court but Advocate Satish Manshinde, who is representing the Chakrabortys, shared a statement yesterday which said that they are in no hurry to apply for bail.
