Aditya Roy Kapur to lead Thadam remake
The remake of the Tamil film Thadam has been in the pipeline ever since the original released in 2019. The rights were bought and an announcement was made that Sidharth Malhotra will be playing the lead. The fact that he would be seen in a double role made fans swoon. However, early this year, rumours started doing the rounds that he has backed out and Aditya Roy Kapur would fill in his shoes. Turns out it was true since the official announcement was made today.
Murad Khetani, who had bought the rights of the remake and is teaming up with T-Series' Bhushan Kumar, took to his social media to share the announcement. He also posted a picture of the team, with Aditya Roy Kapur. The film will be directed by debutant Vardhan Ketkar. He wrote, "We're excited to announce our next, a thriller, starring #AdityaRoyKapur in a double role for the first time. Hindi remake of the Tamil hit, #Thadam, to be directed by #VardhanKetkar. Well, this is exciting for Aditya Roy Kapur fans for sure. There's a lot that the actor would be offering, as he will don an action avatar for Om: The Battle Within opposite Sanjana Sanghi. In this one, he will reprise the role Arun Vijay and will play a double role!
