J.K Simmons is known for portraying the character of J.Jonah Jameson the loud and eccentric editor of the Daily Dugle in Sam Raimi's original Spider-Man trilogy, in a recent interview with ringer revealed the funny way how he found out that he would be reprising his iconic role
In the interview, he talks about his encounter with a fan who out of nowhere sprung up to congratulate him on being a part of Spider-Man: No Way Home which stars Tom Holland as the web-slinging superhero now.
"I’m walking following the person through the cubicles and this desk chair comes flying out in front of me, backward, with some kid who was probably 28 and he goes, ‘Oh my God J.K., congratulations!’ and I go, ‘Thank you. For what?’ and he goes, ‘Are you kidding me? Spider-Man! J. Jonah Jameson, that’s so cool!’ and I was like, ‘I did not know that...I found out I got the part because of some kid who was so connected to the internet fan sites that they had that information on a Spider-Man website before my agent called me to tell me I got the job."
"He called me like 3 hours later and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I know,'" Simmions recalled in an interview with The Ringer.
Spider Man: No Way Home, the third film of the Tom Holland starrer trilogy which release on December 17.
