Sidharth Malhotra says he & Kiara Advani cherish their lives away from the industry, talks about his first meeting with the actress

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s chemistry in the recently released Shershaah has been the talk of the town. While their film based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra has been a grand success after releasing on Amazon Prime Video, the fans just can’t get enough of this rumoured couple. The actor got talking about his reel and real-life connection with the actress who played Dimple Cheema in the film.

Shershaah was Kiara and Sidharth’s first on-screen collaboration and the actor recalled while talking to ETimes that their first meeting was a couple of years ago for the film. Sidharth, however, recalled how he had seen Kiara on the sets of Karan Johar’s Lust Stories and both he and Karan appreciated the earnestness the actress brought to the screen, and therefore they were eager to get her on board.

While Kiara in a recent interview called Sidharth one of her closest friends, the Shershaah actor who is rumoured to be dating the actress said that like that there is a certain sense of ‘regularness’ to her.

“I think even personally, there is a sense of regularness to her, which we both connect on. I am a boy who is from Delhi and I am not connected to the industry per se, but now have been here for many years. She has been working for a couple of years as well. We both have lives away from the industry and that is something that we connect on and cherish. Sometimes you get so embroiled in all these things that you forget to have a regular life. I think both of us have regular lives and that’s what we connect on,” Sidharth told ETimes.

Kiara and Sidharth have been vocal about their mutual admiration for each other but have never commented on their relationship status. Even outside work commitments, the two have been often been seen hanging out together.
