Sidharth Malhotra roped in for Karan Johar’s romantic actioner; story has elements similar to Ek Villain

The handsome Sidharth Malhotra, who was last seen in Marjaavaan, is currently gearing up for his next film Shershaah. Also starring his rumored girlfriend Kiara Advani, the biographical war action film is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee and army captain Vikram Batra. Co-produced by Karan Johar, the film will feature Sidharth in a double role. Well, according to latest buzz, the actor has now signed his next project with mentor KJo. Much to our delight the film, which is eyeing a 2022 release, reportedly has elements similar to Sidharth’s 2014 hit Ek Villain.

In a report shared by Bollywood Hungama, a source was quoted saying, “Sidharth has signed a big action film with Karan again. It's a romantic film with a lot of action and he wants to explore the action genre since it's worked for him in the past. The story has all the elements similar to Ek Villain, which is also his highest grossing solo film till date. When Karan was planning to put this project together, he immediately offered it to Sidharth who liked it. Karan's banner will just be producing it whereas a new director might helm it.”

Well, Sidharth has two other exciting projects on the way! The actor will be sharing the big screen with National Crush Rashmika Mandanna in spy thriller Mission Majnu and has also bagged the lead role in slice of life comedy Thank God, alongside Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh. According to the report, Sidharth will take KJo’s romantic actioner on floors after finishing his current projects.
