Shabaash Mithu: Taapsee Pannu ready to bat from September?

Taapsee Pannu has been training hard for all her films. We had seen her learn martial arts for Naam Shabana, learn hockey for Soorma and train like never before for Rashmi Rocket. Now, for quite some time, she has been taking cricket lessons to be able to nail Mithali Raj's biopic, Shabaash Mithu. The shoot of the film was supposed to star from April, but was delayed because of the pandemic, and then the director of the film changed from Rahul Dholakia to Srijit Mukherji. Now, the film is finally ready to take off, and the shoot will begin from September.

According to a report in Mid Day, Taapsee will begin the shoot from early September, after she wraps up Blurr. A source said, “The biopic was slated to go on floors in April, but the second wave of the pandemic made the team hit the pause button. Srijit is currently in Mumbai, setting the groundwork for the ambitious movie. Once Taapsee returns to the city, the film will start rolling, followed by an international schedule. The director is expected to meet Mithali soon.”

We have been eagerly waiting for this one for a long time now. Apart from Shabaash Mithu and Blurr, Taapsee will be seen in Rashmi Rocket, Looop Lapeta and Dobaaraa.
