Saif Ali Khan Remembers Reaching Out To Sara Ali Khan After The Failure Of Love Aaj Kal
Saif Remembers Comforting Sara After Failure Of Love Aaj Kal
The 2009 romantic drama Love Aaj Kal is undoubtedly one of the most loved masterpieces of Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone’s careers. While the ‘love story’ had its own flaws, which made it more realistic, the performances were spectacular. On the other hand, Imtiaz Ali’s 2020 Love Aaj Kal featuring Saif’s daughter Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan could not strike the same chord with the audience. It failed at the box office and also received negative reviews from fans as well as critics.
In a recent chat with Anupama Chopra, Saif opened up about the film’s downfall and how he reached out to Sara, who was facing failure for the first time in her career. He shared that he did message her, but also left it to her to deal with the situation. The actor said, “I did message her and ask if she’s alright. Of course, it’s a romantic and nice fatherly notion (to hold your daughter’s hand through hardships), but I don’t think it’s really needed. I think she’s quite tough and smart and she gets it. And I told her, ‘you have to go through this’.”
When asked why Sara decided to sign the film, Saif stated, “You must have liked something, you might have liked someone; the director or the producer. Not much has to go wrong for it to go wrong... You have to keep working through it.” Fans were extremely excited to see Kartik and Sara together on the big screen and expected the film to be a super hit going by their adorable chemistry during promotions.
Nevertheless, we are eagerly waiting to see Kartik and Sara shine together on the big screen soon again.
