Saif Ali Khan on his Bhoot Police character Vibhooti: ‘I liked the world he's from, the accent he speaks in’

During the pandemic, many filmmakers decided to release their much awaited projects directly on digital platforms as theatres were shut down. Cinema halls are open again but there are still many movie lovers who are not ready to take the risk of going out. Well much to their delight, they will be able to attend many movie premieres from the comfort of their homes in the coming months. One of the most anticipated films of the lot is horror comedy Bhoot Police, starring Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor in the lead.

The two actors will be seen as brothers in the film, who work as tantriks to drive away ghosts. Well, in a recent chat with IANS, Saif revealed what made him say yes to the horror comedy. He shared, “I loved the script the first time I heard it, it was one of the most surprising entertaining scripts and very interesting character because of what he (the character Vibhooti) goes through." Saif explained, "From being an unbeliever to believer and various things. I liked the way he dressed, the world he's from, the accent he speaks in and completely irreverent person and slightly twisted person Vibhooti is, it's an interesting character.”

While Saif is playing the role of Vibhooti, Arjun will be seen as Chiraunji. Also starring the gorgeous Jacqueline Fernandez, the stunning Yami Gautam and the supremely talented Javed Jaffrey, Bhoot Police will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on 17^th September. Do you have high hopes with the film?
