Rana Feels Baahubali Has Changed Cinema Like Star Wars
SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion are not just super hit record-breaking films, but genuine masterpieces. The epic action films boasted of larger than life sets, an incredible star cast, a gripping story line and a wonderful cinematic experience. Featuring an ensemble cast of talented actors including Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj and Nassar, the series took roughly 5 years to be made and the entire team gave it all they had. And it sure was worth it!
Rana Daggubati, who beautifully portrayed the role of antagonist Bhallaladeva, recently opened up about the film in a chat with Mumbai Mirror. Remembering the thrill of being on the set, he revealed that the project took exactly half of his career. He went on to share that none of the cast or crew members had ever done something like this before, so the entire experience made them feel like they are in an acting school, with director Rajamouli as their ‘great teacher’. Rana added, “Like Star Wars in the ‘70s, this is one landmark film that has changed cinema forever.” Well, we couldn’t agree more.
