Radhika Madan reveals her Student of the Year audition was 'the worst', takes full responsibility for losing the Karan Johar film

Radhika Madan got candid about the ‘worst audition’ of her life and revealed that it was for Karan Johar’s Student of the Year. The actress who has made her mark in the industry in projects like Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Angrezi Medium, Feels Like Ishq, Ray says she takes full responsibility for ruining the audition for the film and revealed what it taught her.

The actress who forayed from TV into films told ETimes in an interview, “The reason I didn't get ‘SOTY’ was that I gave the worst audition of my life. Nobody would have liked that audition, I'm damn sure. So that was the worst audition of my life and I take the responsibility for that, I won't blame anyone for that.”

Student Of The Year became a launchpad for Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan but despite failing to bag the project, the experience of auditioning for the movie wasn’t a total waste for Radhika either. Talking about her takeaway from the opportunity, the Angrezi Medium actress added, “I just made a promise to myself while walking out of that office that I would never freak out over any project. I just want to enjoy those two minutes, be as honest as possible, have as much fun as possible. In those two minutes, I will live that character, even if I don't get that project.” 

Radhika will next be seen headlining the film Shiddat the shoot for which wrapped up earlier this year. The project also stars Sunny Kaushal, Mohit Raina and Diana Penty. The project is helmed by Kunal Deshmukh and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and T-Series.
