Radhika Apte roped in to play a lawyer in Hrithik-Saif starrer Vikram Vedha remake?

The announcement of Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan starrer Vikram Vedha remake recently has sent ripples of excitement amongst fans. The movie which will be a remake of R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi’s 2017 Tamil blockbuster of the same name, however, is still missing a key character in its cast.

According to reports the makers of the film have been on the lookout for an actress to play the role of a lawyer in the film which is extremely crucial to the plot and have apparently been in talks with actress Radhika Apte. Having earned a special place in the hearts of audiences with her terrific performances in the past few years, Vikram Vedha makers reportedly find her to be a great fit and are keen on casting her.

According to a Pinkvilla report, the role of the lawyer in the film will have a strong link to both Saif and Hrithik’s characters. The movie focuses on the story of a cop reportedly played by Saif, and a gangster played by Hrithik. The lawyer will be the cop’s wife while she will be representing the gangster in a legal matter.

Tamil director duo Pushkar-Gayathri will helm the remake like the original film. The project is ready to go on floors soon and a release date has already been set for September 30, 2022.
