Parineeti Is Proud To Be Priyanka Chopra’s Sister; Reveals Latter’s Reaction To Her Recent Releases

The gorgeous and very talented Parineeti Chopra is currently basking in the success of three of her recent releases-- mystery thriller The Girl on the Train, black comedy Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Saina Nehwal’s biopic. While there was a short period when the actress’ films failed to impress the audience, Parineeti has now decided to keep that difficult phase behind her and is embracing her 2.0 version. Well, not just fans but even her sister and mentor Priyanka Chopra is proud of the work she is doing.

In a recent chat with ETimes, Parineeti opened up about her bond with her sister and shared that PeeCee has always been protective of her. When asked if the tag of ‘Priyanka Chopra’s sister’ bothers her, the actress shared, “Why would I not like it? I love it! I am Priyanka Chopra's sister, the media is only writing the truth. Having said that, I understand where those actors are coming from (who mind being called someone’s brother/sister by the media). If you are going to be constantly overshadowed by someone, you might have a problem. But I have never had that problem. I am proud that Priyanka is my sister. Look who's sister I am! Why would I have a problem as long as I have my own identity which I have certainly achieved through my work?”

Parineeti also revealed that Priyanka helped her through the difficult phase that she faced by suggesting that she needs to choose roles that prove her as an actor. And what was her big sister’s reaction on seeing Parineeti’s back to back releases this year? The Ishaqzaade star shared, “Now, she has seen my three recent films and says that I am finally back to who I was. She's very happy. I talk to her often, almost every day in fact.”
