Kartik Aaryan- Kriti Sanon starrer Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo remake now titled 'Shehzada', Paresh Rawal joins cast?

It was just a few days back that reports of a new cast member joining Kartik Aaryan- Kriti Sanon starrer Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo remake was doing the rounds. It was none other than Manisha Koirala who might reprise Tabu's role. Now, it looks like the remake has finally got its title. What's more- another cast member seems to have joined the trio.

If a report in Peepingmoon is to be believed, then Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo's remake has been titled Shehzada! Well, that does fit well with the story of the film too! A source old the portal, "Casting is more or less locked and the makers will soon announce the film officially. They are currently chalking out the shooting plans given the current scenario across the country. Kartik and Kriti's dates are being worked out considering their other commitments and once that's done, they will proceed with pre-production."

Furthermore, Paresh Rawal has joined the cast. The same source added, "Paresh Rawal has come on board to play Kartik's father which was essayed by Jayaram in the original Trivikram Srinivas directorial. Rohit Dhawan and his team of writers have adapted Ala Vaikunthapuramaloo keeping in mind the criticism the film received for its predictable storyline and narrative, and have tried to make it better with a strong screenplay and a great musical score. Manisha Koirala is also in talks to play a pivotal role in the film but she's yet to sign on the dotted line."

The film will be backed by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Productions. We hope that am official statement about the film comes out soon.
