Hrithik Roshan Likely To Be Summoned By The Crime Branch To Record Statement In His Ongoing Tussle With Kangana Ranaut

Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut’s legal tussle regarding their alleged affair is far from over. The Krrish actor who in December 2020 appealed for the case to be transferred to the Mumbai Police Crime branch’s Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) from the Cyber Cell will reportedly soon be summoned to record his statement.

The CIU is investigating Hrithik’s complaint against an imposter where he has claimed cheating by impersonation and identity theft. The actor had claimed that an imposter posing to be him corresponded with Kangana leading to accusations of an affair with the actress. The complaint was filed by the actor in 2016 under IPC sections 419 (cheating by personation), section 66C (identity theft), 66D (cheating by personation using computer resources) of the Information Technology Act at the cyber police station in Bandra-Kurla complex.

Kangana Ranaut had called out Hrithik Roshan in December after his decision to request transfer of the case to the Crime Intelligence Unit. Reacting to the case transfer the Dhakad actress wrote in a tweet, “His sob story starts again, so many years since our break up and his divorce but he refuses to move on, refuses to date any woman, just when I gather courage to find some hope in my personal life he starts the same drama again, @iHrithik. Kab tak royega ek chote se affair keliye (When will you stop crying over a small affair)?”

The actress had in 2016 claimed that she dated actor Hrithik Roshan after working on Krrish 3 with him in 2014. She was slapped with legal notice after she referred to the actor as a ‘silly ex’ during an altercation. This led to a counter-notice by Kangana threatening the actor of a criminal case against him and refusing to apologise. Hrithik in a legal notice had alleged that he was being mentally harassed by the actress and had received 1439 emails from the actress to which he never responded. He claimed that Kangana was corresponding with an imposter and on the basis of this later filed a complaint with the Cyber Cell.
