Farhan Akhtar Talks About His Divorce, Says It Was Difficult To Tell Their Kids About It!

It has been some while that Farhan Ahtar and ex-wife Adhuna Bhabani sought to go different ways and filed for divorce, taking everyone by surprise. They had been one of the power couples and their divorce came as a shock to all. Both of them maintained silence around the matter and chose not to speak about it. But in a recent interview, Farhan Akhtar finally opened up about the divorce and revealed what was the most difficult part.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, The Sky Is Pink actor said that the most difficult part was telling their kids, Shakya and Akira, about the divorce. Talking about whether it was easy telling the children about it, he said,

"Nothing is easy. Anything you tell your child which you think your child doesn't want to hear is never going to be easy. The thing that your child expects you and by you doing it, you will realise that this is what you expect from them. If you can be honest with your child, they are not dumb or stupid. They understand way more than you and me can imagine. They have a sense of an energy of how their parents are feeling. As long as you don't lie to them and you feel 'it's okay, I have told them, they can now do whatever', things will come around. Eventually, a child will understand why you have done what you have done. Maybe not at the moment, but you just have to be honest with them and in turn, they will be honest with you.

Farhan and Adhuna have been able to maintain a good relationship even after their divore. The actor is now dating Shibani Dandekar and is busy promoting his upcoming film, The Sky Is Pink. He will next be seen in Toofan, where he will play a boxer.
