Emraan Hashmi Starrer Ezra Remake To Release Directly On OTT? Here's What We Know
Emraan Hashmi's Ezra Remake To Release Directly On OTT?
It has been quite some time since reports of Emraan Hashmi signing the remake of the 2017 critically-acclaimed Malayalam film Ezra were doing the rounds. The actor has apparently also shot the film. It looks like now the makers are considering releasing in on OTT directly.
According to a report in Peepingmoon, Ezra remake will follow the path of the likes of Gulaabo Sitaabo and Shakuntala Devi and release directly on the OTT platform Amazon Prime. If this turns out to be true, Amazon can boast of a good lineup of films that would include Vidya Balan's Sherni, whose trailer would be out in two days, and Farhan Akhtar starrer Tofaan. It is also being said that the film will premiere sometime in July. An official confirmation is yet to be made.
Ezra was a supernatural film starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Priya Anand. The remake will star Nikita Dutta, Darshana Banik, Manav Kaul, and Vipin Sharma. Backed by Abhishek Pathak, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Bhushan Kumar, this would mark Emraan's comeback to the horror genre after Raaz reboot and his third digital release after Tigers and Bards Of Blood. Emraan also has Chehre, whose release was stalled due to the second wave of COVID. He would also be seen playing the suave antagonist in Salman Khan- Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3.
