Doctor G: Rakul Preet Singh Roped In For The Ayushmann Khurrana Starrer; Will Be Playing This Character

It was recently reported that actress Mrunal Thakur has opted out of Ayushmann Khurrana’s upcoming film Doctor G because the decided dates, owing to the latter’s schedule, clashed with the dates she had assigned to Ishaan Khatter’s Pippa. Doctor G is expected to go on floors by April, soon after Ayushmann wraps up Anubhav Sinha’s spy thriller Anek. Well, latest reports suggest that the gorgeous Rakul Preet Singh has now been roped in to replace Mrunal.

According to a report shared by Peeping Moon, Rakul has been locked by Junglee Pictures to star opposite Ayushmann in Doctor G, which is being directed by Anubhuti Kashyap. While Ayushmann will be playing the role of a gynaecologist in the social comedy drama, Rakul will reportedly portray the character of a medical student. This on-screen jodi is expected to blow the audience away with their fresh chemistry in the film!

Rakul is currently one of the busiest bees of Bollywood with multiple scripts in her kitty including Mayday with Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan, Thank God co-starring Ajay and Siddharth Malhotra, Attack alongside John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez, Sardar and Grandson opposite Arjun Kapoor along with a few Tamil and Telugu projects.
