Dil Bechara Actress Swastika Mukherjee On The MeToo Allegations Against Sushant Singh Rajput: "The Vibe Was Positive And Friendly"
Swastika On Me Too Allegation On Dil Bechara Sets
Dil Bechara finally released two days back on Disney + Hotstar. Watching the film was a bittersweet experience for the entire nation as it unexpectedly became Sushant Singh Rajput's last film. The cast and the director, Mukesh Chhabra also promoted the film before release. It was during this time Sanjana Sanghi was questioned about the Me Too allegations that surfaced against Sushant. She clearly stated that it was untrue and she was equally hurt with the rumours. Now, even Swastika Mukherjee has opened up about it.
Talking to Pinkvilla, she said, "We were not shooting exactly around the time when these allegations surfaced. But it was so shocking for me because I have never seen anything like this happening on the sets. If you are constantly working with people over 2 months, you will hear something, see something. You will have a little bit of knowledge of something that is going on..you cannot be completely unaware."
She further added that the vibe on sets was always positive. She added, "Because I played Sanjana's mother in the film, we were always together. Also, you know, we all used to have dinner together.. the vibe was very positive and friendly on the sets. I never really felt uncomfortable with the crew or the cast. I have never seen Sanjana also feeling uncomfortable or else I would have understood. It was very weird and quite shocking. A lot of people then asked me about Mukesh (Chhabra) .. Am a woman, if there was something that was going on, as a woman I would get the vibe and feel discomfort on the set or around people against whom the allegations have surfaced. But no, nothing."
Me Too allegations were levelled against Sushant during the shoot of the film. He shared screenshots of his conversation with Sanjana to clarify that these were false. Sanjana too had taken to her social media to call the claims false.
