Bob Biswas: Abhishek Bachchan Reacts To His Leaked Pictures; Calls Kolkata ‘A Lucky City’ For Him

The handsome and very versatile Abhishek Bachchan, who recently won hearts with his endearing performance in Anurag Basu’s Ludo, is currently in Kolkata busy shooting for his next film Bob Biswas. Also starring the gorgeous Chitrangada Singh and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actor Amar Upadhyay, the crime thriller film is being directed by Diya Annapurna Ghosh. Recently, Abhishek’s look as Bob Biswas went viral from the sets. In these pictures, the actor looked completely unrecognizable.

In a chat with Mid Day, Abhishek opened up about the same and shared, “The media knew we were shooting in Kolkata. So, the photographers showed up at the venue. I would have loved for the look to come out the way Diya intended — during our marketing campaign.” However, the actor is happy about the praises he has received. He explained, “The [netizens'] reaction was an endorsement that we are doing something right. I believe that if you look the character, half your job is done.”

Abhishek added that he had to pile on kilos for the character and maintaining the frame during the lockdown was difficult. The superstar also opened up about shooting in Kolkata and shared that the city always showers him and his family with love and respect. Abhishek said, “It has been a lucky city for me. Every time I have shot here, the film has gone on to fare well — be it Yuva or the recent Ludo.”

Well, we are sure Bob Biswas will do equally good. Maybe even better!
