Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai Star Saumya Reminisces Working With Shahid And Kareena In Jab We Met

One of the most adored personalities of the television industry, the gorgeous Saumya Tandon is not only an extremely talented actress, but is also gifted with an impeccable comic timing. The beauty, who is currently busy winning hearts with the hit TV show Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai, made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with Imtiaz Ali's masterpiece Jab We Met, featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor in the lead. Saumya played the role of Bebo’s on-screen sister Roop.

In a recent chat with Zoom Digital, the actress went down memory lane and shared, “Now, at this point in time, I wouldn't probably do a very small character. But that time, I was just out of college and I really really liked the vibe of the film and now when I look at myself in the film, I was so chubby oh god I was so not prepared for the film.” She went on to add, “But I think the rawness in that film is what really mattered, because I genuinely look like one of these Punjabi girls from Bhatinda.”

Sharing that she could not have gotten a better ‘crash-course’, Saumya said, “I really enjoyed the entire process. I got to see how Kareena (Kapoor) and Shahid (Kapoor) are extremely professional actors, they are very very prepared with their work. They are very good with their work. I mean Shahid is superb, Kareena is super professional... I got a sneak peek into a very good set-up of how a film is done.”
