Anubhav Sinha Chides Ravi Kishen Over Bollywood Drug Talk In Parliament, Questions Vulgarity In Bhojpuri Cinema
Anubhav Chides Ravi Over Bollywood Drug Talk In Parliament
Parliamentarian Ravi Kishan on Monday had condemned the drug menace in Bollywood and had urged the government to take strict action against the people who are involved in drug trafficking. He had said, “We know the problem of drug trafficking and drug addiction is increasing. In this conspiracy, our neighboring countries are involved... Drugs come to this country via China and Pakistan. Our film industry too is affected. The NCB has been doing good work. I appeal to the Central Government to take strict action against the culprits.” ‘
This came at a time when the drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput case many big names from the industry cropping up. According to media reports, it was only yesterday that NCB confirmed Rhea taking names of Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh doing drugs with Sushant Singh Rajput. Actress Kangana Ranaut too has been pretty vocal about the drug nexus in the industry. She also claimed that cocaine is the most used drug in Bollywood.
Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha however took to his official Twitter account and indirectly taunted Ravi Kishen asking him to talk about the Bhojpuri film industry instead of ignoring it. He questioned Ravi's silence about Bhojpuri cinema which is ‘spreading the poison of vulgarity for 30 years’.
He wrote, “I am grateful to Ravi Kishen that he spoke about the drug usage in Bollywood in the Parliament. However, there should also be a discussion on the Bhojpuri industry as well. The language and the art have been misused to feed the poison of vulgarity to an entire generation for the past 30 years,” he wrote in Hindi.
