Amrita Arora Reacts To Sister Malaika's COVID Test Reports Being Circulated, Asks 'What's The Perverse Pleasure?'

Malaika Arora tested positive for coronavirus yesterday. She had confirmed being detected with COVID-19. She is asymptomatic and under home quarantine and hopes to bounce back healthier and stronger soon. But no sooner did her results come out than her reports were made public. The picture of the detailed report has been doing the rounds on social media. Now, Malaika's sister, Amrita Arora has lashed out at those circulating the picture.

Taking to her Insta stories, she asked if this was the price of being a celebrity. She wrote, "My sister's results have been posted on various WhatsApp groups, Facebook and other mediums! While she was hoping and praying for a negative test and was also preparing herself to get better this is what one has to deal with? How is this ok ????????? What's has happened to us humans sad sad state of affairs."

She also reacted to the news being circulated with laughing emojis and wrote, "Was posting her result of any use to anyone ?????? She's a responsible citizen who would've declared it anyway! What's the perverse pleasure of making it a discussion and guessing how and when she got it, some going to the extent of saying she deserves it with laughing emojis! Why why why!!"

Amrita questioned why no confidentiality was followed in her case! She further wrote, "The question is how did her report get out in the 1st place ... How was it ok to disregard a doc / patient confidentiality. Let's just respect what's happening in the world today and stop this ridiculous naming and shaming syndrome! STOP!"

We believe she is absolutely right! Even celebs deserve some privacy and everyone should respect that. We hope she gets better soon.
