Bigg Boss 7 contestant Ajaz Khan was summoned to the Khar Police Station on Saturday for his comments during a Facebook live session and was arrested for posting abusive, objectionable content on social media. He will be presented in a court today for remand. Well, this isn’t the first time that the controversial actor has made headlines after being arrested. In July 2019, he was put behind bars for sharing a TikTok video which was reportedly ‘communal’ in nature, whereas in 2018 drugs were found in his hotel room.

While most netizens feel that this was the correct action taken by Mumbai Police, some fans think that the actor deserves to have the benefit of doubt. They are now trending #ReleaseAjazKhan on social media and are requesting other followers of the celebrity to join in. In fact, there are some who even think that wrestler turned politician Babita Phogat should be arrested for her tweets on Tablighi Jamaat instead of Ajaz. One user even wrote: “Release Ajaz Khan, bcz he said everything good in his fb live video, So, I want to request @MumbaiPolice release him as soon as possible, lots of people were eating food with the help of Ajaz Khan only#ReleaseAjazKhan.”
