Aanand L Rai Quarantined After Testing Positive For Novel Coronavirus; Is Not Showing Any Symptoms

The shooting of Aanand L Rai’s next film Atrangi Re was supposed to go on floors in March this year. However, the filming was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Well a few weeks ago Sara Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar and Dhanush finally kick started the shoot of the romantic drama. The shoot took place in Agra and Delhi and the first schedule was completed three days ago. The team also had a wrap up party for the same and fans got to see a lot of happy faces. However, the year is sadly not ending on a good note for the filmmaker, health wise.

Aanand has tested positive for novel coronavirus. He took to his official social media handle to share the news with his fans and followers. He wrote: “I have tested COVID positive today. Just wanted to inform everyone that I don't feel any symptoms & I feel fine. I'm quarantining as instructed by authorities. Anyone who has come in contact with me recently is advised to quarantine & follow D govt protocols. Thank you for your support and blessings.”

Also starring Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Nimrat Kaur, Atrangi Re is a romantic drama that features Sara in a double role for the very first time. It also marks Dhanush’s third Hindi film and the second collaboration between A. R. Rahman and the filmmaker. Atrangi Re is scheduled to hit theatres on Valentine’s Day 2021.
