    No matter how horrible and sexist it sounds, for the longest time actresses in Bollywood indeed as a shelf-life. Although things are rapidly changing now, there are many successful who dabble in production and other businesses to keep their future if Bollywood suddenly fails them.

    But there are also a few actresses who tried to convert their failure in Bollywood into running a successful business, but unfortunately failed at that too. Here are a few flop Bollywood actresses who flopped in the business too

    Although she started her career with a blockbuster and has been a part of Bollywood history with films like Gadar, Ameesha could never fulfill the promise she initially showed. After a slew of flop films, she decided to launch her own production company in 2013 named Desi Magic. But not only we have not seen Ameesha actually producing a film but the one film that was announced by her, Bhaiyyaji Superhit has been in the making since 2012 but we have not anything about it. Safe to say, Ameesha’s production house is not a profitable venture.

    She won the Miss Universe crown beating none other than Priyanka Chopra in 2000 and made quite an entry in Bollywood soon after with Andaaz. Despite appearing in several films, her acting never really took off neither was she a part of many successful films. After her marriage with Tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi, Lara opened a production named Big Daddy Production and produced Chalo Dilli. Despite good reviews, the film did not too well at the box-office and since then we have not heard much about Lara or her production company. Not just that, even her venture to launch a line of sarees by Chhabra 555 did not meet with much success.

    Despite making her debut with the superhit Mohabbatein, Preeti failed to make a mark on Bollywood with her ever-increasing number of flop films. In 2009, Preeti along with her husband actor Parvin Dabas started her own production company named Very Fishy Films. The company has so far made only one film we know about which Dabas’ directorial debut named Sahi Dhande Galat Bande which despite rave reviews failed at the box-office. That was in 2011 and ever since we have not heard much about Preeti or her Very Fishy Films.

    This was another actress who could not use the success of Mohabbatein to benefit her career. After a few flop films, she married Kenya based businessman Ali Punjani and tried to dabble into business. Although much is not known about her ventures, it was pretty clear that Kim lost some major money in the hotel business and shut it down and is presently running a bridal makeover salon.
