SRK & Aamir Have Switched Places In 2018, Is Salman Watching?

Which festival do we usually associate King Khan with when it comes to high profile releases? Diwali of course! And when is Aamir Khan known to release most of his ambitious projects? Christmas! Like we’ve so often discussed how stars have made all festivals their release entities, the game is getting bigger and more intense.  For the first time ever in the history of Bollywood, two of the major stars have announced their projects more than two years in advance.

While we’ve just begun hovering around the syntax of 2016’s last quarter, it’s amazing how production decisions are being planned so much in advance. Alright here’s how the distant future of our cinema is shaping up with two of the stalwarts making their intentions clear.

While the actor has Raees and Imtiaz Ali’s next lined up 2017, he has already announced the release date of his own production where he plays a dwarf in Aanand L. Rai’s next. The actor who’s usually known for releasing his big films on Diwali took a different route this time and clinched Aamir Khan’s favorite release slot and chose Christmas.

SRK has this kind of a record on Diwali: Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Veer Zaara, Don, Om Shanti Om, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and some more in the 90’s.

Quick to respond was Mr. Perfectionist himself! As soon as he saw his trademark release slot being snatched away by Shah Rukh, the actor occupied 2018’s Diwali with Thugs of Hindostan. Starring alongside Big B, the announcement made by Aamir only shows how two of the biggest stars in the industry have decided to experiment by taking each other’s comfort zone as a start.

Aamir on the other hand has this kind of a record on Christmas: Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini, 3 Idiots, PK and now Dangal

With major slots taken up by no one else but two Khans themselves, the day is not far when producers will try and stake claim for most of the vacant lucrative slots soon.

However with the recent turn of events, Salman Khan’s fans would be wary of the fact that Bhai needs to jump in the game pretty soon. With him, the game is just on a level unmatched. His record at creating Eid his entity is much ahead and stronger than what Shah Rukh has with Diwali or Aamir with Christmas. While Sultan was announced as an Eid 2016 release a year in advance, he didn’t waste any time in booking Eid 2017 already with Tubelight. However, the game goes as far as 2018 now and Bhai would indeed be looking to hop on the ride.
