Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films has ushered in a revolution in the field of filmmaking. Through a slew of powerful short films, the brand has successfully redefined movie-watching for cinephiles and thrown up a reality check for viewers and filmmakers alike. The films presented are sharp, original, and thought-provoking, with the potential to bring about change.
Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films started associating with Jio Mumbai Film Festival in 2016 and created a whole new category in this venerated film festival for short films. Royal Stag Barrel Select LSF helmed the sponsorship of this category at the festival, which made Large Short Films a leader in the category. This year the association has been made bigger and the category gives a platform to 10 short filmmakers to bring out their cinematic genius in the contest announced by Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films in partnership with Jio MAMI.
Not only will these films get screened at MAMI, but they will also get exposure to international audiences as the festival is attended by filmmakers from around the globe. Large Short Films has been closely working with stalwarts in the film fraternity and trying to bring back the culture of promoting original ideas with MAMI, and this category is a huge stepping stone to revive the art of storytelling. It’s not just any other contest; rather it’s like a masterclass in short filmmaking.
United in their commitment, Large Short Films is back in action to showcase four movies by well-known directors during the 19th season of the Jio Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI). RSBS LSF collaborates with Sujoy Ghosh, Chaitanya Tamhane, Neeraj Ghaywan, and Tisca Chopra who are known for delivering original content and stand for “Perfection”.
