The Mahesh Babu starrer is probably one of the biggest things that have happened to Telugu cinema since Baahubali . Directed by Koratala Siva who has earlier directed super hit films such as Mirchi, Srimanthudu and Janatha Garage has given another blockbuster with Bharath Ane Nenu which has broken and set many records. 

The film that released this week has Mahesh Babu playing the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh who fights for the right of his people and emerges as the ideal leader. Bollywood actress Kiara Advani who made her debut with M.S. Dhoni plays the female lead in the film. Here are 5 things about the film that will tell you how it is re-writing box office history.

The Mahesh Babu extravaganza opened to huge opening numbers. The film raked in 31 crores just from the Telugu markets and went on to become the biggest opener of 2018 in India leaving Baaghi 2 behind which opened at 25 crores.

As the weekend progressed, the madness about the film only started increasing. The movie in its opening weekend managed to collect 74 crores from the domestic market and 26 crores from the overseas market making it the fastest Telugu film to reach 100 crores, barring  of course, Baahubali and Baahubali 2

It has stormed into Australian screens and has collected 168194 A$ in Australia on Friday and is only second to Padmaavat in terms of Australian collection. It is, however, the first Telugu or film to achieve the feat. It has already made its way to the Top 5 in Australia.

Not just Australia, even in the USA the film has managed to rake in big bucks. It manage to collect 1015 crores from 305 screens in North America

Kiara Advani is surely one happy girl! Bharath Ane Nenu is Kiara’s debut in Telugu films and will probably go down in the history for being the most successful foray of a Bollywood star into Telugu films.
