Will Meri Pyaari Bindu And Sarkar 3 Survive The Bahubali 2 Frenzy At The Box Office?
The world has finally come to know why Kattapa killed Bahubali two weeks after the release of Babhubali 2: The Conclusion. But if you thought that with the revelation the Bahubali fever was over and the world has moved on and found other things to obsess over, you were certainly mistaken.
No major Bollywood release dared to clash with this mega release for two good weeks in India and now Amitabh Bachchan starrer Sarkar 3 and Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana’s Meri Pyaari Bindu has stepped forward to challenge the Bahubali 2 fever two weeks after. But will these two Bollywood releases be able to break the Bahubali spectacle? Or will they be pressed under its weight and forgotten? It is yet to be discovered.
Let's take a look at all the reasons that make the clash of these two films with Bahubali is a big deal.
Number of screen these two films will release in –Meri Pyaari Bindu, an YRF romantic comedy released in nearly 700 to 800 screens. The film aims at young, urban audiences and is aiming at the multiplex audiences. Sarkar 3 on the other had has found space in nearly 1500 screens and is a intense political drama that has two popular predecessors. But Baahubali 2 has more screens that these two films combined and seeing the Bahubali fever gripping the nation, it is hard to say that these films will find the required attention.
Buzz around these films – Meri Pyaari Bindu has a fun, young and fresh appeal and has created a positive buzz with its chapters till now. Sarkar 3 has the success of Sarkar and Sakar Raj to fall back on, and these two have a fairly good reputation. The Bahubali buzz is still strong and has many audiences still following it like crazy, if nothing the film will perform as well as any average blockbuster at the box office even this weekend.
First reviews – While the frenzy around Bahubali 2 requires no introduction, the Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra love story has received mixed reviews on its opening day. Sarkar 3 on the other hand has left many disappointed has been slow through the day.
These two films have no good reason to be clashing with each other as they have a bigger and more popular film to compete with. As of now both of these look weak but it can only be said post seven days if they failed under the burden of Bahubali or sailed through.
