Nothing Beats The Original: Akshay Is Back In Hera Pheri 3, Abhishek-John Out!

The brand Hera Pheri is back to where it belongs! After the makers of this epic comedy franchise announced its third instalment last year, fans were not totally pumped up since the X-factor of Akshay Kumar was nowhere to be seen. Producer Feroz Nadiadwala and director Neeraj Vora then chose to replace the star with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in the fray. However, nothing beats the destiny as they say, Akshay Kumar is back in the Hera Pheri business.

Announcement

After Akshay Kumar did not come on board for reportedly not being offered his desired remuneration, producer Feroz Nadiadwala chose to cast John and Abhishek instead. The film had a confirmed star cast in the shape of Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty, John and Abhishek until the unthinkable happened. While the shoot of the film was scheduled to be wrapped in May 2016, the scheduled set release was August of this year.

Shooting Stalled

Despite 40 percent of film’s shoot having been completed, the producer reportedly suffered a financial crisis stopping its production for an indefinite period of time. John and Abhishek, who also had other work commitments, chose to walk out of the film one after another. While John joined the sets of Rohit Dhawan’s Dhishoom, Abhishek started shooting for Housefull 3. As it turned out, the film was left hanging in the middle of nowhere.

Akshay aka Raju Comes To The Rescue

After Feroz reportedly fixed his financial handling of the movie, he along with director Neeraj Vora convinced Akshay to come onboard again. The actor understanding the need of the hour gave his nod for the project and is apparently now back with his name on the star cast board. While an official announcement is still awaited, it is pretty much confirmed that the film will now comprise of its original cast.

The Fresh Timeline

After entailing losses for shelving a major chunk of film’s shoot, while the makers are back with the fresh schedule, the film however would obviously suffer major delays. According to sources, the film will once again go on the floors with major script improvisations by the end of this year and will probably be ready by first half of 2017. Whatever happens, we will now see Hera Pheri 3 exactly the way we wanted.
