5 Reasons Why Akshay Kumar's 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' Might Be The Bollywood Gamechanger Of 2017!
While there had been so many releases this year in the past 8 months and a week, this year overall seems to be a dry year! While the South release Baahubali smashed all records and created new milestones for the upcoming releases to break! But from the Bollywood perspective, this year had been one of the most unprofitable year of all times.
Till now, two SRK movies and one Salman Khan movie has released! While Raees did a good business at the box-office, Salman Khan's 'Tubelight' and SRK's latest 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' failed to impress the audiences and leave a mark at the box-office! With two of such big budget and high expectation movies flopping, Bollywood is now rooting for Akshay Kumar starrer 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' to break the Box office jinx of 2017!
Here are 5 reasons why 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' Can Be the Ultimate Bollywood gamechanger of the year:
1. Low Budget movie
The movie has been made with a budget of 40 crores, which means that it had been pretty low compared to other big releases like Tubelight, Jagga Jasoos or Jab Harry Met Sejal!
2. The long weekend
The movie is releasing on 11th August. Considering the fact that many people have a holiday on the upcoming Monday, i.e., 14th August for Janmasthami and 15th August is a national holiday, there is a good chance for the film to cash in through the extended weekend!
3. No competition
There had been anticipation that Jab Harry Met Sejal might be affecting the collection of Toilet. But with the negative reviews that are going around, there is little competition that the film will have!
4. Akshay Kumar's Independence Day Track Record!
Akshay Kumar has began the Independence Day and Republic day track record. Much like Aamir Khan, who releases his movoes around Christmas and Salman Khan who prefers to release his films on Eid, Akshay Kumar is taking up Republic Day and Independence Day. Last year too, Rustom released on Independence Day and weaved magic on the box-office. Hopefully history will repeat itself this year too.
5. The already growing popularity
The film has been praised by many already. In fact, since the subject of the film is about the neccessity of toilets in every household, many states like Uttar Pradesh has already declared the film tax free! The film will also connect to all strats of the society and will hopefully do well both in the multiplexes and the single theatres across the country!
Are you excited to watch the film?
