8 Theories That Came To Our Heads After Watching Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Trailer
A few weeks ago, after a long wait, Karan Johar finally decided to give us a teaser of his next directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. And boy, was it worth the wait!
Now, we didn't say we like it. Neither are we saying that we don't. It's just that Karan Johar movies are a definitive part of our culture, it's something we have grew up with. The same old blend of impeccably dressed beings in an exotic foreign land, dancing and shedding tears, is something we have missed. #Guilty
But things seemed darker this time, more intense. There seems to be more at stake. Maybe this time Karan Johar doesn't opt for a happy ending.
And now the trailer of the film is out and obviously we still have a lot of questions. But thankfully, we have our work cut out for us since we have already had developed a list of theories after watching trailer. Interestingly, even after the trailer, most of the theories are still pertinent.
Check them out:
The theme of one-sided love applies to the best of friends Anushka and Ranbir, where one friend (Anushka) seems to be in love with the other friend (Ranbir) who obviously doesn't share the feelings.
#2
Since that dialogue is in Ranbir Kapoor's voice, we feel that the theme of one-sided love is reflecting of his character in the movie. And since he is getting all kinds of cozy with Aishwarya Rai, it can be likely that his affection is not reciprocated by Aishwarya's character.
The Fawad Khan angle: it is seen that he confronts Ranbir Kapoor's character, and we see Anushka also present there. So might it be that Fawad Khan's character has some problem with the closeness of best-friends?
#4
In a glimpse, we see Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai sitting together. So might it be that Aishwarya is related to Anushka's character in some way? Sisters maybe?
#5
It is evident that Anushka Sharma's character is getting married to another character and we also see Ranbir Kapoor's character leaving her behind. Two questions: Who is Anushka Sharma getting married to? Is it Fawad Khan? And why is Ranbir Kapoor's character so sad since they are just friends? Does he also develop "more than friends" type of feelings?
#6
Ranbir Kapoor looks so lost in the teaser. He is sad and heartbroken. And then there's the ominous dialogue above. In all likeliness, Aishwarya Rai is responsible for his condition.
#7
Talking about Aishwarya, she seems so disjointed in the teaser. It's as if a separate entity. We also gets the sense that she seduces Ranbir Kapoor's character to some extent, and the poor guy just falls for it. We know it's far flung but it might be that Aishwarya Rai's character is a bit grey. But given that we thought that she is related to Aishwarya might be the sister of Anushka Sharma's character, she is a little messed up in her life.
We circle back to the theme one-sided love. Ranbir loves Aishwarya. Anushka loves Ranbir. Does Fawad love Anuska in that same way? And who does Aishwarya love? It seems like it won't be "happily ever after" kind of movie.
