4 Times Ronit Roy Proved That He Deserves To Be A Bollywood Star As Well

Like mentioned numerous times before, Bollywood is often kind to those actors who aren't main technically what you call 'stars'. We have supplied you with examples of those actors who deserve more attention and following because of the respectable and even, at times,  transcending work they do.

Often these actors are quintessential supporting actors or those actors who only get small parts in movies. And within that, there are actors that cross-over from TV. 

Ronit Roy is one such professional. A huge star in Indian television industry, the actor from time to time takes up a Bollywood project and boy how he impresses the audiences!

Here are times he was so good that he almost stole the limelight from his 'big-name' co-stars:

In 2010, his role as a corrosive father in Udaan was one of the most irreedemable characters in Bollywood.  Not only heearned him all our respect but won him a Filmfare Award.

If he was corrosive in Udaan, Ronit Roy was downright scary in Anurag Kashyap's excellent film Ugly. Playing the role of a livid police officer who isn't afraid to misuse his power makes him a terrifying character to watch.

If the aforementioned projects are too indie for you, the actor played a pivotal role in 2014's 2 States. Playing a role of estranged father who eventually tries to reconcile with his son, he was widely appreciated for the role, getting a nomination for a Filmfare award as well.

In 2015, the actor appeared in Guddu Rangeela, starring Arshad Warsi and Amit Sadh. Though the movie had some faults, his villainous performance was one of the strong points of the movie.

Next, the actor will play the negative role in next year's Kaabil, starring Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam.
