Bengal has the tag of being the "Cultural Capital of India". It has a legacy of producing superb literature. Bengal has also been the birthplace of legendary film makers like Satyajit Ray and Rithvik Ghatak. Needless to say, Bengal has inspired many Bollywood film makers too.

Back from 1936, when the Bengali movioe Dena Paona (that originally released in 1931) was remade into 'Pujarin', Bollywood has seeked inspiration from the movies produced in the state!
