This 6 Year Old Girl Singing A Lata Mangeshkar Song Will Melt Your Heart!

We bet even Rajnikanth didn't know what he wanted to be in life when he was 6! For most Indian kids, becoming a Doctor or an Engineer was the highest ambition, pushed down our tiny epiglottis by our relatives. But what was it like being a kid back in the 90s?

Your families made you count the spoons and plates on the dining table to improve your oral mathematics! 

Day dreaming wasn't about Katrina's chiseled body or Fawad Khan's charming smile! It was an innocent mind game, because even Pokemon didn't exist back then!

Punishment at school was not very insulting, rather it was THE time to plan more mischief! 

Parent-Teacher meetings at school would be followed by cloudy eyes, one drop at a time, only from one eye! LOL 

While most of us couldn't tie a shoelace at the age of 5-6, and our highest ambition was to watch Shaktimaan on Saturdays or grab a cup of ice-cream when out for a walk with Dad!  However, the kids of the latest generation can easily put us to shame! Three year olds can operate an iPad, and play musical instruments. And guess what? Our beloved singers have now found competition (not in their contemporaries) in little toothless toddlers. 

Meet Ayat. She's only 6 and killing it with her surreal voice on And TV's The Voice India Kids, which by the way starts tonight at 9 pm. 3 seconds into this video she makes you melt like Olaf from Frozen. She actually had the Coaches – Shekhar, Neeti Mohan and Shaan on their knees, trying to woo her to join their team. We wonder if she has the slightest clue that she's singing a Lata Mangeshkar song from an old film starring Saira Banu.
