The Girl From M’Town Pulls Away From Her Belief Of Working With Established Actors, Directors
Looks like Sanjjanaa Galrani has completely drifted from Malayalam films. She played pivotal roles in the Mohanlal-starrer Casanova and Mammooty-starrer King and the Commissioner. However, her cinematic timeline is inundated with offers from the Malayalam industry but we hear that she has rejected all of them. Well, the fans must be wondering what might be the reason. As per reports, she turned down the offers because all the projects featured fresh faces.
Taking about her belief of working with fresh faces, the actress said, “I mostly work with established actors and directors and I am very choosy about my projects, but I found the script of Jannat very interesting and exciting.” Throwing light on her role, she says, “I play a Malabari Muslim girl in this love story. For someone who is very westernised in her way of dressing, it was a novelty to wear such traditional attires. Since I know Tamil, it was relatively easy to grasp the Malabar accent and dialogues. But I had a lot of mugging to do. Tamil and Malayalam are difficult to grasp.”
However, it is unbelievable on Sanjjanaa’s part that in her Mollywood film, Jannat she pulled back from her belief and worked with a moderately new director and scriptwriter. However, her new avatar in the song, Ya Moula from Jannat, in which the modern Sanjjanaa is playing a traditional Malabari Muslim girl is too appealing. However, the fans are fervent to witness the magic of the actress in the film.
