Asha Sharath to Essay the Role of Kamal Hassan’s Wife

Malayalam actress Asha Sarath was applauded for her role in Drishyam. In fact, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Asha was last seen in Papanaasam and now she would once again work along Kamal Hassan in the upcoming film Ulaganayagan. In the film, the actress will be portraying the role of Kamal’s wife.

The film will be directed by Rajesh. Talking of her role in the film, the director said, “Asha's character is a cameo as Kamal sir's wife, but it's quite an interesting role. We have finished shooting at least 50 percent of the movie, including Asha's portions. She is a wonderful performer, and was also quite cooperative with us”.

Thoongavanam is a bi-lingual film. In Telugu the film is titled Cheekati Rajyam. Other stars such as Prakash Raj, Sampath Kumar, Kishore and Trisha Krishnan will also feature in the film. Last, she was seen in films Varsham and Angels.
