Rumour of me being a gay bugs my wife, says Hugh Jackman

X-Menstar Hugh Jackmanhas believably played gay characters onscreen numerous times, most memorably as Harvey Milk's lover in the Oscar-winningMilkandLes Miserableshas made him a darling among gay audiences. But along with the popularity the actor is also facing rumours that he is a gay.

The 44-year-old actor said the gay rumours affect him more than he has previously admitted and it’s upsetting his wife as well. The star quoted, “It is especially difficult for his wife of 16 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, who often sees stories online, just recently, it bugs her. She goes, it’s big. It’s everywhere!”

The rumours may have begun because Jackman is good-looking and the X-man is not scared in making a roar denying them but many believe him when he says he’s a dedicated husband. He and Furness have been married for 16 years.
