James Corden Found The Idea Of 'The Emoji Movie' Quite Charming
What if you see all emojis in smartphone come alive? This is what director Tony Leondis has done in his upcoming film 'The Emoji Movie', which excited actor James Corden the most. He said that he found idea of unlocking the world of emojis inside a smartphone through the film very appealing. Corden was so intrigued by the story that he could not say no.
"You can punctuate any moment with a great emoji," James said. He added, "In the film these are characters with spirits, and souls, and hearts, and minds with something very, very real at stake for all of them." He further stated, "These things that you use in your life all the time have a personality, something to lose, and real friendships. That felt very fun to me.”
James will essay the character of the Hi-5 emoji in the movie. Hi-5 is an open-face palm emoji ready to give a Hi-5 at any time. Apart from Corden, the film also stars the voices of T.J. Miller, Anna Faris, Patrick Stewart, Maya Rudolph, Steven Wright, Rob Riggle, Jennifer Coolidge, Jake T. Austin, Sofia Vergara and Christina Aguilera. The Emoji Movie is slated to release on August 11, 2017 in India.
