    Latest news reveals that Hollywood actor Gary Oldman, who played the role of Winston Churchill in the movie, Darkest Hour has been honoured with the best actor award at the Golden Globes 2018 in the drama category. After receiving the award the actor thanked his makeup team for their fantastic work. The award was presented on January 7th on Sunday.



    The 59-year-old actor said, “I feel very humbled and surprised to have been asked to this stage,” Oldman said as he grasped his trophy. He further expressed his gratitude to his team saying, “I would like to thank my magnificent makeup team,” Oldman said. “Your artistry has no equal. You were kind, you were funny, you were patient, and we got through 63 applications”.



    Moreover, other actors like Daniel Day-Lewis for Phantom Thread, Tom Hanks for The Post, Denzel Washington for Roman J. Israel Esq., and Timothée Chalamet for Call Me By Your Name were also nominated for the best actor. However, Oldman beat them all taking the stage for himself.
