Chris Pine in talks to join the cast of Wonder Woman

Chris Pine is in talks to join the cast of Wonder Woman, reported by TheWrap. The 34-year-old actor is very close to striking a deal to play Wonder Woman’s love interest. The movie will be helmed by Patty Jenkins after Michelle MacLaren parted ways with the project.

Gal Gadot will be essaying the role of Wonder Woman. The character of Wonder Woman will be first introduced in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The stand alone Wonder Women film is slated for release in 2017.

“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe”, said Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder. “Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”
