Calista Flockhart joins the Supergirl's cast

According to the reports, Calista Flockhart has been added to the cast of CBS's Supergirl. The Ally McBeal star will play Cat Grant, the self-made media magnate and founder of global powerhouse CatCo.

Based on the characters from the DC Comics and adapted for TV by Ali Adler and The Flash executive producer Greg Berlanti, Supergirl stars Glee's Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El, an alien from Krypton who escaped to Earth during her home planet's destruction. Flockhart joins Benoist, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, while Hank Henshaw, Alex Danvers and Winslow Schott have yet to be cast.
