Angelina Jolie confirmed for Cleopatra’s role in new biopic

It has been confirmed by Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie that she has decided to star as Cleopatra in a new biopic. It has also been revealed that talks are on with several directors for the project as the most obvious frontrunner Ang Lee seems to be quite busy with his previous commitments.

Jolie said, "We`ve been working on it. There`s been lots of different ideas of directors and lots of different discussions. The script has been written by Eric Roth, who is a dear friend and a brilliant writer.” The Maleficent star also revealed that she needs to prepare herself for the role as Cleopatra’s character is quite complicated. The actress added more, "She`s complicated, it`s complicated to get this one right. I think we`re getting there. It`s getting close. I imagine the preparation for it is going to be big." Jolie is also looking forward to this character as a challenging one which will be a game-changer in her career. The actress went on saying, "It`s one of those that you think maybe that`s the one you put everything into and that`s where you end it, that`s where you finish - in a great way! What could you do beyond that one?"
